Hi all.

Used this motherboard last month on a few occasions with Linux, no issues.

Downloaded and installed Windows 10 Pro the other day
Updated a few drivers with Asrock Auto Update. Not much updated. Added Firefox and just used it to read the forum while it ran through Window updates.

Wired internet was working, could not see my connected WiFi Ariel. Thought I will check that later.

Then power it off for a couple of days.

Move the PC to where my old PC sat. Plug it all back in.
Turned the PC on tonight, open up Firefox, keep timing out.

Unable to do anything on the internet, now I'm not even connected to the internet?

Any suggestions?

Router turned off. Router turned back on. IP issues. Lost completely now.

Used CMD to ipcofig release, renew, flush no joy.

Re installed Windows and no joy.

Decided to swap the network cable, one connected is black, the other PC in this room has a white network cable, this white cable was what I had in use when I did the Windows installation, Linux was downstairs with another cable.

Change cable. Boom. Back in business.

Swap to the cat6a cable, again no internet.

So change over to the white and all is good.

Plug the black cable into the other PC, it's working fine. Swap it back to my pc, no internet.

Both cables are 10m in length. Black cable is Cat6a, white cable is Cat6.

Not sure how cat 6a would not allow an IP address to be acquired, but seems that was the problem? Maybe a bend in the cable? Hmmm

Will need to buy another 10m 6a and test I guess.
