Asrock trustworthy?

Seen some pretty good reviews on an Asrock 6700XT I plan on buying next month...

I get pretty back luck with stuff so I'd like to know what I'm up against if they're unreliable over time from other peoples experience?
It has a 3 year warranty so that helps :)

Anyone had any bad experiences with the brand?

My issue is the original gpu I wanted has literally been discontinued anywhere I'd trust as a supplier and I'm not paying the same/more for slower variants with worse cooling/louder and the asrock is the only version with an ott hsf setup/beast clocks pre-oc'ed out the box so more likely to have decent silicone and work nicely for my undervolt I have planned along with coming from a supplier I trust should it go wrong...

So now I am stuck with going this route brand/model wise.

Have had asrock motherboards in the past that were fine. Never had an asrock gpu. Fairly sure they have not been making gpus that long.
That's good to hear, from what I've red they either do budget stuff or do a mid-high end model that ends up really good graphics card wise... And this 6700XT model in particular seems to be the latter according to reviews :) So I'm very hopeful!

Jokes aside I've been spunking money on cars for the last 12 years instead mate and drifting etc so this will LOL be the first pc I build since a q66 stepping first gen quad core haha! I've had mac's since that.

Another serious lurker here ;)

I've had Asrock motherboards in the past (they were fine) and now i've had an Asrock graphics card for the last 5 or so months. It is solidly built, metal backplate, weighs a ton, bit aggressive on how the fan ramps up but that is easily tuned out to something more acceptable (to me).

They're fine imo, no worse than other card Nvidia or AMD that I've had in the past, and better than a few...

Edit - I have a Phantom gaming D with the Asrock cooler, not an AIB model.

The AMD graphics drivers software is very good and if you fancy doing any tuning you don’t need any other software.
I'm planning on undervolting it as much as possible and the cpu and going for a framecap of 60fps at 1080p and just unlocking it for cs:go IF I CBA... But I imagine I'll quickly get bored of MP games as I tend to now I'm older...
Would be nice if I could get the whole system to 200w at the wall ;)

Just to add; I've ran a RX6900XT on a 750w with no ill effects (though I did swap it out for a 1000w model more for peace of mind as I run an Intel system which can draw LOL more than the equivalent AMD equivalent).

Sweet! I'm only using a 5700X so 65w TDP so I'm hoping this will be fine as they advertise the gpu as only needing 700w? So I went for 750w for a bit of peace of mind?

If you cap at 60 you will be close to that.

I think the drivers and the Adrenaline software are under rated, after running a Nvidia card in my main box for just under 12 months, using the AMD drivers for tinkering/tuning really simplified everything.

Edit - and no more problematic than the Nvidia drivers in my experience.
