Asrock X299 ITX? Of course!

So this is a contender for my next board. There claims to be THREE M.2 slots on there (!), as well as proper quad channel DDR4 (four slots) although it means having to use SO-DIMMS.

Is it limited to that crappy (small) cooler though like the original?

I wasn't aware the X99 was limited? I don't use it on mine.

No the socket looks like full size - the original was best water-cooled as Bitspower and EK did narrow mount coolers/monoblocks for it.

The X99 ITX was never "limited" to the ILM cooler because you could get ILM mounts for decent towers and waterblocks. But the X299 ITX does look like a standard square socket, which makes things easier.

Loving the look of this beast, I'm already thinking up mods for SODIMMs to make them look pretty
