ASRock X79 Extreme 6 & ASRock X79 Extreme 6/GB - Interchangeable?

As an owner of an ASRock X79 Extreme 6/GB who is looking to update the motherboard's bios to it's latest version, I'm wondering if bios versions for either version of the motherboard are interchangeable. My motherboard is currently on version P3.00. The ASRock X79 Extreme 6/GB entry on the ASRock website only has version 2.70 as the latest version. The entry for ASRock X79 Extreme 6 however has a version number of 3.10. As there appears to be no difference between the two boards other than the inclusion of a Creative soundcard in the /GB version, could bios updates from either board's entries be used?
