ASRock Z68 Extreme 4 vs Asus P8Z68-V Pro

The ASrock has a few extras, such as a 3.5" bay that has an additional two USB3.0 ports, this bay can simply be converted into a PCI slot fitment.

Might even have more phases on the VRM setup.

..and the ASRock is likely better suited to loaded-up systems (in terms of cards plugged in et al.) due to having more PCIe lanes available

the only thing with the ASRock, if i had different speeds of ram i couldnt get mine to post. so had to manually set it to the slowest and then stick in the other sticks. dont know if this is the case for the other board or not. might not even be an issue with every ASRock one, but there were a fair few on a google search with the same problem.

So I take it the asrock is better in this case?

overall, apart from the bluetooth, the ASRock seems to have more features out of the box. but i wouldnt say either is a bad motherboard so go with the one you feel happiest with. bare in mind that lots of people on here have the extreme4 so will be a lot of help if required.

I went for the P67 Asrock over the Asus and am very glad I did.

Not had a single issue so far.

Awesome. Wouldve got P67 but heard the intel onboard gpu is better for photoshop and lightroom, and thats what i want to use this pc for. Maybe ill buy a graphic later though.:D
