Asrock z77 ex4 with 2500k

How many of you have the same board and chip. Also what are your oc's as i cant get mine passed 4.2ghz. If i goto 4.3 it locks the pc up at the windows boot screen.

maybe you should up the voltage a bit. you might have been unlucky with the chip

whats the core voltage at the moment?

The chip was a oc bundle chip @ 4.6 but i changed the mobo from asus to asrock because of boot problems unless ive got a poor asrock board

the chip will of lost its overclock then.
have you tried upping the voltage of the chip to make it stable?

make sure you are just upping the multiplier, ensure all cores are the same value so 4.2ghz is the bclk@100mhz with each core set to x42

Yes i can get it rock solid @ 4.2 with 1.280 volts as soon as i go 4.3 it wont boot into windows pc just locks up upping the volts dont make a difference it just wont boot.
