Hi, I'm having issue with booting new pc up,I've finished assembling everything and when powering up, fans and everything seems to work, but monitor stays black. also on led display dr debug shows number 53 ,which is something to deal with memory not installed. I've checked ddr 3 corsair vengeance lp each stick on friends pc and they work flawlessly. anyone has previously come across such issue?

Edit/
I've took out Gpu, hdd to see if they don't interrupt something on first boot. no success.

What components do I need to start mobo alone? Does it necessary need cpu, ram to start up?

Pc spec:
Case: nzxt phantom 410
Cpu: i5 3570k
cpu cooler: noctua d14
RAM: 2x4gb corsair vengeance lp 1600
psu: antec 650w
Gpu: asus gtx 480
Hdd: western digital black caviar 1t

Have you got the 24pin and 8pin ATX inserted fully?

Try a clearCMOS.

All you need to start up is the CPU and a stick of RAM.

out of interest, would you expect any response without CPU (or with non-functioning CPU) ... i.e. would you get anything displayed on the DrDebug LEDs. I've got a dead PC with a 970 Extreme4 mboard at the moment and about to swap PSU with another PC to eliminate that as problem (though think this is unlikely as all fans run and can hear HDD spin up) ... so I suspect the mboard and if I can avoid having to swap CPU's to eliminate that then that would simplify things!

I took mb out of case, plugged only ram sticks, cpu and reseted cmos then it booted correctly. Assembled everything back in case and now it has again 15 , 20 , 53 error on dr debug. Unplugged most of cables except for cpu fans and power from psu to board, same as it was out of case, but still nothing.

It seems its something wrong with grounding. I do have standoff sunder mobo,I didn't put any screws in mobo and just located it in correct position in case, it started up, so I started to put plug back most of cables one by one and it worked okay, last one was cable which connects with all fans in case. After that it again stated to give 15 20 53 code. I believe that its something to do with grounding most likely, but unsure where, since mobo is on standoff..

Edit.

Again came across same problem. I start to think about cpu cooler's mounting kit, is there possibility that mount might redirect electrical signal if its too tight screwed on board?

Finally! Such simple things can go wrong. Anyways, will post picture when will finish install Windows. Basically two top standoffs I didn't screwed and put folded paper under motherboard, where ram is, now it seens to boot flawlessly.
