Hi,
I have completed a new system build yesterday and I'm using the ASRock Z97 Extreme6 motherboard. Everything appears to be running fine and the system boots up with no problems.
The one cause for concern I am having is that when the system boots up it hangs at the ASRock POST screen for a few seconds longer than it probably should and hangs on a couple of POST codes in particular (I've taken the code summaries from the ASRock website):
A2 - Problem related to IDE or SATA devices. Please re-install IDE and SATA devices. If the problem still exists, please clear CMOS and try removing all SATA devices) and the other on is
99 - Problem related to PCI-E devices. Please re-install PCI-E devices or try installing them in other slots. If the problem still exists, please remove all PCI-E devices or try using another VGA card.
Yet both my SSD and hard drive seem to be working fine as far as I can tell and my GPU is working fine as well (980 Ti). So I don't understand why it seems to be flagging these two errors at me at start up? I've cleared CMOS using the button on the back panel of my PC but I'm still getting these codes flagged up to me for a couple seconds each.
Any ideas on why this could be happening?
Thanks
