ASS CREED leak

Well usually games get leaked a few days before the release by a games shop guys but 6 weeks is pretty bad.

It does beg the question as to why they were apparently mass-producing a version with an "intentional" bug in. Who were the legitimate pre-release recipients of the game intended to be if not the reviewers?

Just received the PC version of this game in the post today, great game really.

Hope Ubisoft win.

"You would not want to be the person who did the deed"

Why? All he'll get is sacked. It's not like they're suing HIM for $10mil.

Never actually played the game but yeh id be prtty miffed if they leaked it 6 weeks before release.
And to a previous poster, piracy is as rife in pc gaming as it was in XBOX and is more so in XBOX 360 gaming, fact is a good 30-40% of xbox 360's have to be flashed, microsoft wouldnt admit to those numbers but it is.

I agree with your point. Some of Ubi's reasoning seems a little questionable to be honest, apart from the leak itself.

Piracy will be the end of PC gaming.

Just because piracy is bad developer's current blame-flavour of the month people have once again arrived at the death of PC gaming... there isn't even anything recognizable left of the dead horse you're flogging.

Hah! I don't mean it literally obviously :)

It's just annoying, as developers etc keep trying to add new copy protection procedures, which quite frankly are just annoying at the best of times.

If you go back a few years, it didn't matter if X amount of copys where downloaded....As games where 'cheaper' back then. Nowadays, a 'decent' game, will cost loads more to make, so they just want all the money they can get really. And with downloads being easier to achieve by your average Joe, no wonder they're moaning about download numbers really.
