Assasins Creed Free Roam!

Hi guys i would ask this in the official thread but chances of an answer are slim to none! But anyways, i completed AC yesterday and i only need the flag achievements now but can i just use the animus (sp) to just free roam around the land so i can go where ever and when ever i want instead of having to replay a mission and sit though the boring cut scenes etc?

As far as I know you cant. once you have completed all missions, thats it.

You can jump back into the Animus and just load the memory where everything is unlocked. You'll have to sit through the chat with the head assassin dude but then you can do what you want.
