Assassins Creed 2, using keyboard?

Is really the only way to play this game is it to use an xbox controller? Because for the life of me i cant setup the keyboard controls, any advice on using the keyboard would be great.

I had most of the buttons centered around my mouse and close to direction pad (For the life of me never enjoyed using WASD lol). I didnt have *that* much of a hard time completing it. The only thing that really got me was when i was on the horse and decided to gallop, just couldnt direct it without turning up the DPI on mouse during gameplay.

I didn't have any problems using the keyboard in Assassins Creed 2 - the combat and free-running have been overly-simplified so that you can get on quite easily with the default settings. I use the keyboard for all my games - Arkham Asylum, Prince of Persia, RE5, and never had any problems

Then again, i've never tried any PC game with a controller, so maybe i'm missing out...

I too find the KB/M controls in AC2 fine, and I've used my KB/M for the above mentioned games as well.
