According to Ubisoft, a last gen AC will be revealed soon, this may well be Assassin's Creed Comet, details of which was leaked around the same time as details about the since revealed AC Unity. Comet allegedly has a Templar as its main character, is set in North America and has naval combat.

So you mean last gen WD didn't do so well? I wasn't aware of this, I quite enjoyed it though! From a AC fans point of view and with the fact that I am getting a PS4 in October in mind I am fairly pleased about there being two AC games coming!

IIRC Watchdogs sold twice as much on current gen (including PC) than last gen...

Well that is to be expected now that next gen is in full swing, considering WD sold 8m copies I imagine that is still a fair amount of cash!

However, given Assassins Creed Comet is an entirely separate game I'd imagine that will draw more sales. I myself would purchase it alongside Unity, especially considering the rumors suggest it is a pre-sequel of sorts to AC3 and 4.
Not really when the install base is not even the 10th of last gens established base (not even including Wii)

That's the way the game market has always been, people buy the latest predominantly. WD was an eagerly anticipated Next gen title also. Currently WD PS4 is #25 in the amazon top 100 best selling games, xbox 360 is #40 so not too far behind in sales.

Thought this paragraph might interest, considering historically Ac is a massive seller on XB360 and PS3 a dedicated title for those platforms might do well.
