Assassins Creed Origins - Samsung free download... can i get it in steam?

Hi all

My apologies if this is covered already, but i couldnt find anything.

Now ive bought a samsung SSD and have the code for a free copy of Assassins creed origins.

It says i have to login to Uplay and download the game through there:

now, i try to keep my PC free from as many unnecessary programs, like we all do, and i'd rather have the game in steam.

Ive read you can link your Steam and Uplay accounts, so there maybe a way.

Can anyone offer some advice on how i can do this?

Note that it's still a Uplay game and won't show up as an official steam game as that's not possible.

Thanks, i'd seen that, but i wasnt sure if the game would then appear in steam? i may want to play via steam link.

In most cases Steam just launches Uplay for Ubisoft games and you end up with both clients running. I'm also pretty sure that you can use the Steam link to play games outside of Steam anyway...just exit big picture mode and it dumps you on your desktop.

ok cool, so i shouldnt worry then, just install uplay install and get on with it

did i not mention that it was with an SSD for a work PC, so i didnt even have to buy the drive?

well.... its all a bit rubbish. did the uplay thing, registered, got the game associated to my account, all went fine.

Went to login at my home PC, cant login. repeated attempts have locked me out, and the password reset thing doesn't send an email.... useless...

Contacted Ubisoft via Facebook and they fixed it. Result. Well done Ubisoft
