Assassin's Creed Unity

As an alternative Dragon Age Inquisition is getting amazing reviews. I played it briefly this morning and it looks really good, so maybe get that instead?

personally never got into dragon age, so I doubt this will be an option for me.

considering getting AC rogue, seems like a rinse/repeat of BF which I enjoyed

That glitch compilation video...wow. How is this game even being released ? A delay was never going to happen but this could significantly damage what was a good brand for UBI.

Boomerang are delivering mine tomorrow...should be fun.

It had already been delayed, it was due out on Oct 28th originally. Good to see they put the extra two weeks to good use ;)

I think my biggest issue with Ubisoft regards this is that whatever acknowledgment they make now is what they should have made months ago internally before going gold - knowing they had already scheduled a minor delay (and PRed slating BF4s poor release) and still released what most would consider an untested beta is damning.

Ultimately they shouldn't be applauded for fixing a game that in no way was ready for release and until that happens they haven't even got back to square one.

I'm glad this has affected their share price and potentially will hit non-games media as it means they know they can't do this again - that's great for the uninformed public that just isn't aware of such issues before they buy. Of course AC:U will probably still sell well but least Ubisoft can't use that metric that everyone of their customers was happy with what they delivered.

Mediocrity in any purchase I make is just unacceptable - being informed isn't that hard - vote with your wallet where you can!

ps3ud0

Did they not get slated and pushed into none game media for Watchdogs? I am honestly shocked that they let this happen after the uproar over watchdogs.

My copy will arrive either today or tomorrow but am unsure whether or not I should send it back or keep it in the hopes that these issues get fixed even if it just makes the game playable rather than amazing.

Reports on reddit that disabling network/online on PS4 (and optionally rebuilding the ps4 database) helps with the frame rate issue.

Sounds like it would make sense due to all the online interaction this AC game needs, but we really shouldn't have to be doing that...

Can anyone try this? I'll give it a go myself tomorrow.

Watching some of the streams of this and it looks awesome.

Guess we just have to live with a couple of weeks of average whilst they patch.

Not much changes with games though, can't think of a game I have owned in the last couple of years that hasn't had issues

I saw someone on Reddit saying that if you disconnect the Kinect on Xbox One it also fixes any framerate issues. It's only one person I saw saying that though.

Now we just need someone to try it, but not long until tomorrow. I'm not expecting a huge difference but I'd like it to be better. I'm still sure it's the amount of NPCs though, but connectivity issues played havoc with my Borderlands 2 frame rate on release so it's a real possibility.

I'm playing it now on the xbone. I'm not using Kinect and there's not nearly as many glitches as I had seen in the videos, whether the day 1 patch has helped. I'm less than an hour in, though!

FREEDOM CRY PS4 is standalone?

Yeah it's standalone and on offer this week. Really liking Freedom Cry so far, straight into the action ! Likeable characters as well. Well worth the £4.79 it costs on PSN :p
