Assassins Creed Valhalla Bench Thread

Please can you provide the GPU memory clocks? I will assume 2150Mhz.

Please can you provide the GPU clocks?

Hate to break it to you but SAM/BAR is a couple of FPS difference, so I would not expect drastic changes to performance good or bad. I doubt you will even notice if its on or off. ;)
In this game it's rather more than that according to HW Unboxed. However, in many games the difference is negligible. Regardless, the new AMD cards are much faster in this game than Nvidia anyway.

If you run the test again but use Exclusive full screen mode and not borderless mode you might get a better score.

What CPU are you using?
Can you check the memory frequency? It's different to Radox's submission.

Scoreboard updated. :)

His Memory would be half to get in same format as mine :) (or double mine to get into same format as his I suppose!) So it would be 4876 Mhz if written same way as mine. I have +1000 Mhz offset for that saved profile. so add 500 Mhz (half 1k) onto stock speed of 4876Mhz gets to my speed of 5376Mhz I posted.

That said i think you made a small copy and paste error and mish mashed his and mine numbers in the results table :p

Cheers mate I will fix it shortly I thought I had buggered it up. Bit rusty been years since I ran a bench thread.

Just collecting some Sam on vs off scores will post them here shortly.

8.5% difference for me, just tested it with my 24/7 gaming clocks. More than i was expecting. Minimums were better with it off though.

2160P
5950x
2570Mhz/2112Mhz
21.2.2

Interesting, thanks. I think the difference is even bigger at lower resolutions going by HW Unboxed.

Sorry I tried to set game settings from memory, was wondering it was not great score but I do set voltage curve lower than default so it doesn't hammer 500w on the PSU. CPU should be in the screenshot provided (Ryzen5 3600).

Radox has far more mhz on the Core/Mem than me - interesting to know your Power Consumption at the wall @Radox-0 - mine is maxing out at 460w at the wall (nice and conservative) :)

Wonder why AMD has awesome results on this as typically AC would be a nvidia favourable title in the historical sense?

Used to be, the days are now gone. It used to be the same for Unreal engine titles also but now that is also not the case when you compare a GPU for like for like.

Who would have thought this time last year if you said AMD would be beating NVidia is rasterization titles you would laugh.

I remember being laughed at on this forum when saying all AMD need to do is release a competing GPU but I was told nivida is just to far ahead LOL

Not only have AMD out done Nvidia here they have also out done them in efficiency....

10.9% at 1080P. Didn't bother testing 1440P.

Thanks, well that's a pretty nice increase to already phenomenal performance!

Yeah I think the only area they horlicksed up was not having enough hardware to offer to us. The next issue is the price they are commanding. If they would have had one available I would be using a 6800XT right now. Looking at it though, theres no need to charge upwards of £650, that is a joke!
Yes, I would probably have got one too. MSRP for the reference 6800XT is below £600 in the UK but pretty much impossible to get. I was very lucky to get a 3080 FE for MSRP recently and even then I was very fortunate to get it because it was very difficult.

My story isnt much different. Looked at 3080 on release, didnt get. Waited for 6800XT release - didnt get. Then wife sourced 3090FE in stock and gave green light (I was surprised she sanctioned it) I wasnt going to argue. I reckon if I still tried getting a 3080 I would be likely without one still...

She’s a keeper mate Lol. :D

I'll wait for this to hit bargain price before I get it, burnt out with odysseys rinse and repeat missions and then medieval/viking settings really don't do much for me

TBF to nvidia, you can undervolt the 3080 and 3090 massively. My tweaked 3080 is delivering better perf than an untouched 3080 and doesn't go above 300W now. Been very impressed with the 3080 FE in terms of temps and noise levels.

Same. It was the main reason I went with nvidia this time, far easier to get their cards at the MSRP, obviously incredibly hard but at least there is a chance of it happening compared to any other non FE/reference card......

Have you seen how well the 6000 series under volt? The score achieved at 4K 1st place in this bench is with a 6900 XT under volt Ed to 1.1v and drawing 250W. You’ll actually gain performance under volting Big Navi, never mind the temperature, power draw and noise benefits.

Yup AMDs card undervolt really well too (I have always done it since my 290 and vega 56 were power hungry MFs out of the box), my point was that with nvidia this time round, they are guzzling way more power than needed :p
