Just got this as an FHM freebie.

Played it for 30-40 mins and quite frankly I wanted to snap the disc in half.

Cut Scene...Cut Scene....Wonder about for 5 secs....Cut Scene...Cut Scene....Stab someone.....Cut Scene...Cut Scene....Cut Scene...Cut Scene....Have a Sword Fight (slowly).......Cut Scene...Cut Scene....

Should I preserve, its bloody rubbish up to now.

On the plus side...nice angle on the story but not 100% on the presentation.

No, but it will have to be something really good. Im 30 mins in and fudge all has happened

It's pretty much more of the same although the assassinations were good I thought. The game is extremely repetitive the whole way through.

It's a decent game, but i agree, there are far too many cut scenes near the beginning. They do get less frequent as you start to go about your business (killing folks), and i really started to enjoy it after a while.

Killing multiple guards without causing a riot is good fun.

i thoroughly enjoyed it, I loved the combat towards the last few missions, where you had gained all of the counter abilities.

I loved the free running across buildings. The game needs some imagination, go different routes to places, try different leaps from building to buildings, start a fight, get some guards after you, then try to loose them or kill them.

I agree the first couple of missions arent that good, because you cant do counter moves, and only have the one sword, no throwing knives etc

I found the running across buildings boring, all you need to do is hold in RT + A and he runs / jumps / climbs all on his own, there isn't any user action required really.

Yes, early videos implied (to me anyway) some level of control with a bit more depth. The animations looked very nice when he jumps etc but just graphics over gameplay imo.

I agree, it's decent. It does lay down a good bases, which has a lot of potential to be really really good. The next game they will probably get it right.

I just enjoyed seeing how silky smooth it all looked, the blending of all the different animations, I just enjoyed watching it, I'm glad it didnt have a complex control system for the free running, but I'm easily pleased :D

I think they could have put a bit more thought into the control's without making them too complex. For me it's not over complicated to hold down RT to run and hit A to jump.

Just doesn't really feel like I was in control of the game holding down 2 buttons while the system does all the work for you.

I didn't feel like that because you still have to navigate, since not all buildings are connected and things going on on the ground and sometimes guards on the roof ensure you're not running over the rooftops too long.

Anyway, I guess some people are more inspired and excited by watching the parkour and climbing than others.

But spoonz you really should get to the actual assassination parts before you decide to drop the game

yeah looks good but not exactly rapid or enthralling

Each to their own I guess. I just love games as 'interactive' stories, mass effect as prime example on the 360, Assassins creed, though somewhat strange ending, I felt was a great interactive story, I'm glad it wasn't another button mashing 3rd person run about hack 'n' slash affair. I enjoyed taking my time, playing out the fights like you see on a movie - parrying swords etc, rather than slash, slash, block etc.

I'm really looking forward to the next installment, which from looking at certain things within the game, give you the impression it'll be set in Asia (Japan etc)
