Never played any of the games in this series. Does the latest installment require that you have played the previous 3?

I played Revelations, never played any of the others and it's fairly easy to pick up

I didn't enjoy the first game but loved 2,3 and playing 4 now. I would start at least from 2 as then you get to know Ezios story.

as above....start with 2 as a minimum as thats when you start as Ezio

Yeah its definiately a pick up and play game, the backstory is fairly simple to, yoy play a guy who relives his ancestor's life.

Basically, you run round stabbing people and climing up stuff

The first isn't great and may put you off so definitely agree with starting at 2 and maybe play 1 between Brotherhood and Revelations to understand Altair's story better.

You really should start with 2 at least.

Altair > Ezio. So you really have to play 1 first. It's tedious and dull in lots of places but the era and setting is the best of the lot.
