We are piloting a HP terminal + Windows 2008 RDS solution and want to know how to track the physical terminals we are putting on users desks, without resorting to a spreadsheet system.
Basically these machines are being put on desks in public buildings and will no doubt go missing or get moved without authorisation over the course of their life time.
How can we track these assets? At present to my knowledge we don't track any assets though laptops have some software inbuilt that can find stolen equipment through a call home. I am not sure why they are worrying about low cost terminals, but thats management for you!
