I also posted this information in the VR deals thread but if you don't use VR then you'll probably not see it. So posting it here too...

On sale in Steam store until 6th September 2021...

Assetto Corsa Standard edition £3.09

Assetto Corsa Ultimate edition £6.05

If you already have the Standard edition then Steam will not allow you to buy the Ultimate edition. Frustrating!

However the complete DLC which is included in Ultimate can be had in sale for £9.12. So you can add this to your already owned Standard edition.
But you don't have to buy the entire DLC packages. You can pay less by choosing which DLC you want from the sale offer.

Edit: Competizione edition is in the sale also.

What's the difference vs the competizione version. I've got a quest 2, does it work well ?

Assetto Corsa (AC) is the original whereas Competizione (ACC) is newer. Though ACC originally focused on the Blancpain GT3 series though it's expanded a little and now includes GT4 cars too. Whereas AC has a wider selection of cars (GT cars new and old, road cars, single seaters etc.) You can also add mods to AC which make it a LOT better graphically and expands it greatly with inclusion of new tracks and cars.

As for VR, AC is pretty easy to run in VR though doesn't have full support (basically menus have to be accessed on screen or through a virtual desktop) whereas ACC has full VR support but is far harder to run at good frames rates.

Cheers for the detailed reply.

3080ti , 5800x here. I might give it a go.
Quick scan over google suggests changing a few things on the ini files to improve performance.
