Assetto Corsa

I have just started simming again (very rusty but not dangerous) and would be very interested in a friendly non ram type server.

Had to adopt the ole trick of not qualifying so I make it round the first corner :S

Have you guys thought of joining an existing league? There are some out there where driving standards are pretty darn good. If you're not careful you thin the drivers out too much and have quiet races.

The DTM Alfa 155 is such a hoot around Spa. I hope more DTM cars of that era find their way to AC. That would make for some great racing, especially in leagues.

I've thought about it but I quite fancy something a little less serious. A lot of the leagues seem very competitive and I thought it would be nice to have an OcUK one where there'll probably be varying levels of sim racing experience and ability.

Check the link in my sig. While we do run competitive events, we have drivers at all levels, so you'll always have someone to race with.
We're a friendly bunch and have a dedicated team speak channel which usually provides a good bit of banter during practice sessions (quieten down for qually/race though :)).

We have rules and a code of conduct that needs to be followed, but we actively try to avoid the ultra serious, hardcore league vibe that tends to put a lot of people off racing leagues. After all, we do this because it's supposed to be fun, right?

If you don't want to commit to a series, there's also a casual racing club where you can organise on-off events (or time trials etc) that can be as fun or serious as you want them to be.

Feel free to look around :) If enough of you guys are interested and don't want to run in a series, I might be persuaded to set up a little OcUK section and run a dedicated server for you. That way, you can have a casual spot that's a little better organised than a single thread on here.

Will have a look myself too. Thanks for the link :)

I'd argue our racing over at simracing.org.uk is about fun clean racing but we do have a few alien types that race, they can do their own thing ;) If you can do 1:52's at Monza in one of the GT3s you'd have beaten me comfortably last night.

Anyone fancy a race at around 14:00 as my league is going to be taking the Ferrari 458 and the Mclaren MP4-12C around Spa to solve the oldest chestnut in the BBQ.... Which one is quicker :)

Downloaded Donington last night, I'm pretty nippy round the track. Tried using a Skyline for drifts but it's horrible for some reason. it "stutters" went accelarating around a corner, but even a Seat Leon powers through.. I check my mod sites for AC daily so I'm hoping for a better 'line.

Eh! I can only run it stock?! Install any track and ACS.exe crashes while loading! It is in the correct directory and game "sees" the tracks but just fails to load them! Am I the only one with this issue?!

You using a modded car? if so, make sure in the carfolder/aero.ini :

HEADER is version 2.0
DATA section is removed, empty.

All Aboard!

Just a quick head's up for anyone interested.

After a successful and universally popular first season, our Ginetta GT4 Supercup season 2 is starting on May 17th HERE!
These things always provide brilliant racing, so get in while you can :)
