Hi guys,

A quick one: I remotely manage my own and my families PCs with Logmein Free. I install my client on their computer and I'm gone. That works fine for us :D

But what about supporting a user overseas, someone that I can't physically get to? I know Logmein can achieve this but it's a paid service - I was just wondering if there were any freebies out there? Preferably without me having to disclose my personal passwords etc.

Thanks.

Teamviewer.

Test it out

Get the 'Download, Free for Private use' one for your machine, install.

Now get the client to download 'Join Remote Control Session'

Once they run that, they have an ID and password, they give you those details. You type them in on your machine and it will connect to their computer.

When they close the program, the link is closed forever. So nothing runs in the background on their machine

All you need is for them to run teamviewer instant support client. Doesn't need an install and job done your controlling your pc.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Teamviewer it is then ;)

And like platypus says, if I then want to instal logmein, I can.

Thanks.
