Assorted iOS problems

Hey guys, I've got a few annoying problems and I was hoping someone could help me out. Since updating to 6.1.2 I've been getting an error message whenever I try to search for stuff on the App Store and iTunes. The error message in question is:

A server with the specified hostname could not be found

This doesn't happen every single time, and if I leave the iPad for a few minutes and then try again it will often work as normal. The other problem is that pages are regularly timing out in Safari, and sometimes I get the page cannot be displayed message even on pages which should be working normally such as Wikipedia pages, stuff on Amazon, newspaper articles etc.

Also, I keep getting errors when using both the YouTube app, and using their site through the browser, basically if I pause a video and then try to play it a minute or two later the screen will just be completely black, it'll try to buffer, even though I've already let it buffer, and then I'll get a message saying "playback error". This is hugely annoying as when I'm trying to watch a walk through for a game I'll pause the video, complete a few minutes on the game but then have to refresh the page and manually find the section I was at. I can't just pause, then resume playing as this error happens virtually every time I try that.

Initially I thought there might be a problem with my Internet connection but I've reset my router using the software, I've used both my laptop and phone without any problems and my PS3 has been fine online also, it just seems to be my iPad which is having problems, is there anything I can do to resolve these issues? So far I've held the home and power buttons together, I've cleared cookies and data from Safari and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the YouTube app. I never had these problems before, it coincides with updating but that might just be a coincidence and nothing more.

Also, it's a 4th gen iPad. :)

I've had similar connectivity problems since updating (3rd gen iPad) so I know exactly what you mean. It's intermittent.

I did a complete wipe and reload to see if that fixed the issues, but unfortunately not.

People tell me it's 'my iPad' or a problem with my network, but like yourself the problems only started after the update. It's not a coincidence.

That's some reassurance then, at least it isn't just my iPad. My next step was going to be a wipe too but since it hasn't fixed any of the issues for you I doubt I'll bother going through the inconvenience. I searched on Google before I created the thread and there wasn't any really relevant stuff so maybe it isn't a widespread issue.
