You can get a switching USB hub that requires you to press a button, thats all I have seen.

Why not set one up as the share?
Printer sharing was previously set up via remote access but one employee buggered it all up by installing windows 7. ? Now we have one printer unable to remote access because the employer cannot remember the access/logon details and the other receiving spool errors. Thought hubbing it would be idiot proof.

as they are in the same building you must be able to set up a new share.
