thats a nice jump in spec, i went from same cpu ,2gig ram, rubbish graphics to a 4770k with 16gig then added a 780, was happy at the time but now its never stopping upgrading time, 128gig ddr4 ram next for Atlas@home, hope by xmas

128gig is a bit overkill unless you are planning on having a 64 gig ram disk ?

VMs are using 2 gig each on Atlas also just got overtaken by a pc using 128gig ram and 2 xeons(48 threads) on NFS

..and MGP I'd like my old place back please, so if you could vacate by the weekend that would be nice

Though I think it will be temporary as I'll be moving on after 10 mil.

You were a little optimistic

Oh and it's a borged rather basic i5 office PC and an i7 2600K with GTX970 that is only on a few hours a day as the electric bill had become silly. Neither are totally dedicated to just Asteroids.

Tortoise and hare springs to mind. I'll just keep chipping away and my rightful place at the top of the pile will return once you've got bored again
