Didn't know where to post this but Aston Villa are offering the ticket for the match against Man City this Saturday for £15 but it's only available for the first 1,000. They are doing this to celebrate the recent signing of Darrent Bent (which is an overpriced deal to say the least).

It's available from TicketMaster but I heard about it from World of Deals.

YAY Let's charge people £15 to watch a poor relegation placed team play against the uber defensive Manchester City.

Villa would have to pay me more then £15 to get me to watch that.

Other teams should do this more often. But maybe they do it secretly...actually, they would never offer cheap tickets unless there's a good reason.

I always thought the bottom 3 got relegated. Silly me.

You must be pretty blinkered to think Villa are a "poor" team - we've been in "poor" form, had a number of key injuries and a new manager bedding in, but to make a sweeping statement like this is ridiculous.

Cretin.

I suppose because of the trouble earlier in the season caused by Birmingham fans in the game against us, your statement includes us in that does it?

Im a Pool fan living in Birmingham, so somewhat neutral. My Dad's a Brum City fan, and up until my Grandfather died he took me to see Villa games (Since he used to play for them in the 60's or something :p ). I actually got to see more local games then games for my own team (Distance to travel, difficulty getting tickets, although i still managed 4-6 games a season).

On the whole, the level of violence, destruction, anti-social behaviour et al was always far far higher in and around Villa park then at St Andrews.

Im not even going to try and speculate as to why that is, but its not a pretty sight.

How ironic to see a person with Gerrard in his signature moaning about violence.

That's a fantastic deal. Costs more full price to see Dundee in the Scottish 1st Division.

It's strange because I've never, ever encountered any of the above when at villa park. :o

Last time I looked Villa were in the bottom three? same points as the team 3rd bottom.

Villa are an amazing side, doing amazingly well then? Happy, 'cause if you think Villa have been anything other then poor this season you're blinkered my chum.

Frenchy you have in at the minute is a better manager then O'neill imo, but yeah this is a bedding in season, still Villa aren't doing/playing well.

How do you think I feel? I'm a Boro fan! They are charging £25!!! for the cheapest ticket and they are fighting to stay in the Championship!

And they wonder why attendances are low...

I think it's as much to do with football as it is results / positioning.

Wednesday charge about £20-£25 I'd guess, have a season ticket so not sure on a game by game basis. Kids of a Quid is on a fair bit, that seems good and popular. (easy way to push attendances up)

Sorry to disappoint you, but we're not in the bottom three.

I didn't make any claim that Villa are "amazing" or doing "amazingly well" - as I said, we've been in poor form but are NOT a poor side, and you don't become one overnight, "my chum". Of the side that finished 6th last season, only Milner has left.

Come May. let's see how close to relegation we are then.

And as for the comments about trouble and antisocial behaviour in, and around Villa Park - one of the most ill informed statements I've ever read on here. I've being going to VP since 1980, and the amount of incidents I've seen in that time you could count on Fernando Torres' goals this season.
