Anybody on here using Astraweb?

Over the last few days my download speeds seem to be bouncing all over the place.

Before it would max my connection straight away and keep going till completed.

Now it seems to be a bit variable to say the least.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Yeah speeds were all over the place with mine as well.. you will notice it more if you have a high speed connection. 50 - 100 Mbps.

I had 3 different newsgroup provider accounts simultaneously and Astrawebs was the most erratic for speed.

I also got rid of Astraweb after seeing how much better other providers were.

Same here for me. Had months of rock solid performance but the past 6 weeks have seen D/L speeds all over the place and lots of in completes as well. Thinking of going back to Giganews at the end of this month

The in-completes are really starting to **** me off now, anyone recommend me a good provider? (not giganews).

I have had a lot of incompletes the last couple of days, previous to this its been flawless, I think its probably just a temporary thing though.

Certainly won't be moving

Mine seemed to return to normal last night but will monitor over the next few weeks.

If incompletes persist and speed is all over the place then it'll be getting canceled.

I had been getting random incompletes on astra recently too. Especially around the 100day region which made me think there was some corruption around that mark. This happened when I was on newshosting years ago. Everything between day 70-100 was a no go until they fixed it. Strange thing is, as it aged it became available again no problem.

Random files were missing random blocks, so 3-4 downloads later I was able to patch the files together for some results. But that was painful to say the least.

This was on the .nl indexer (the .info alt was affected too), tried .org a week later and everything worked fine so I don't know if it was the indexer at fault or not.

Where's everyone jumping ship to? I am considering just riding it out for the $96 Kevlar special, as I rarely use it anyway.

I've noticed the same - just the speeds though; completness hasn't been a problem (SABnzbd has patched things up with par files).

Not moving, unless completeness takes a dive for me.
