Astraweb slow tonight?

Is anyone else having issues with astraweb tonight?
Mine's running dog slow, I can't get over 40Kb/s on a 6MB connection. Speedtest is happy enough with my speeds, so it's something specifically to do with astraweb/usenet.
(I'm on O2 btw)

It's the first big "single" download iv done

think the max I downloaded before for 1 download is 16gb

The 67gb download yesterday took around 9 hours I think

Mine is about half of my virgin 50mb speed, this is happening more and more, thinking of switching soon...

Get a steady 6.0MB/s. Drops to about 5.8MB/s during peak hours.

Just renewed my yearly account with them. Works out to be £4.50 per month

Down from 830K/s to 50K/s for me since yesterday.

Switched from the EU server to the US server just now and it's up to 600K/s.

Guess it's an issue with the EU server (I'm also on O2 by the way, thought they'd started traffic shaping or something!). Will have to email astraweb as they're not showing any issues on their site.

Yup! That sorted it!
Must be an issue with them and O2, I'm surprised I've not seen anyone else online mention it.

I normally get 1.2 download but am only getting 200k.:

Changed to us server as stated above and is better now. Hope they fix it soon.

im with O2 LLU and getting poor speeds - changed ssl port and no change. cant be bothered altering settings right now but will keep this thread updated!

I'm on Be* and have noticed that occasionally one of the items in my queue goes slowly, but to switch to something else speeds it straight up. Could be that Astraweb's EU Filer is suffering from heavy demand to some of the posts!

I found the EU server was horrible tonight on :443. I switch to their US server and got full speed again. I'm on bethere/O2 btw.

Bethere/O2 have startted traffic shaping on all astraweb connections during peak hours. The dedicated SSL US server is working full speed for now. I guess they missed that one.

Just as I go and sign up to Be in my new flat. Typical. Thought they were supposed to be one of these providers you pay more for so you don't get all this traffic shaping ****?

i dont think be shape anything, im with sky llu and downloading at 1.50 atm. full speed as sync is around 14680.
