Astro A40 + Xbox 360 question.

So I connected the optical cable to the mix amp.

The HDMI cable is connected to the TV, but when I enable the digital output of the Xbox I get HDMI audio through the TV and the DD 5.1 audio via the digital output together.

I have to mute the TV. Is this normal to have both audio outputs working at once ? Is there anyway of turning one off ?

I have an old Xbox 360 elite that has the HDMI splitter with the digital output on the same cable which I suspect is the cause and the reason the answer is no, but it doesn't harm to ask

That's normal, in my experience of using comparable Turtle Beach amps. Turn the TV down to 0 or mute it or whatever.
