asus 19" ws monitor

hi, just checking out this monitor for a friend, http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-005-AS&groupid=17&catid=276&subcat=

it says 1 analogue connection, does that mean old type (vga) and no dvi connection?

I assume it only has analogue, not that it makes much difference

Yer just 1 x analogue connection,, very nice monitor though , i have had mine for over 1 year now, soon to be replaced by a samsung 245b

Dont be put off by the lack of DVI, I assume its done to cut costs and you wont notice the difference.

hmmm well just seems odd to me not to have dvi. i assumed dvi was better quality

Yer DVI is better Quality , but it also adds to the price or the monitor. BUT most analogue conections give very good quality output these days

so for the sake of £20 is is better to get a dvi one or at that budget would dvi - vga not change much?

It wont matter at that res, I have used them for customers, very nice once settings tweaked.

Got 4 of them at home, replaced a load of old crts we had, very nice monitors good for gaming, very slight back light bleed, but nothing too serious

I think there is a new FW to fix some bleeding. (may be another model)

I have one, great monitor. A little bleeding whilst playing TDU though :S
