Got an Asus 270x, pc boots, nothing to monitor, plugged into hdmi on the mobo and get output, device manager says no 270x, bios reset, boots, picks card up, worked for a few days, pc locked up while i was at work, rebooted, nothing.
Card out into another pc, works fine.
Mobo is asus gene v, noticed on my old gtx670 wasnt picked up as pci-e3 which apparently is a known but not fixed or properly acknowledged..
I'd think PSU maybe but i've tested by powering the 270x off of another pc thats runs a 270x fine.
PSU is an Antec TP650.

Seem to be a fair amount of issues with other R9 based cards so thinking more card than anything else....

could be a sign your mobo is on its way out or could just be the card have you got an old GPU to test?

Yup, my old GTX670 still works a treat, thing is the card works in another machine all of the time, yet both 270x's are hit and miss in my main rig, I'm going to strip the board out of the case now and try the second slot, its too close to the bottom of my case for me to use it normally.

Joys, bottom slot when machine is on its side is accessible with all the cables moved out of the way, good job, got a Corsair sealed liquid unit and rad in there, that would have been fun to mess about with.. Not..

Machines up and running straight off the bat, might leave it as is and see what it does over the next few days.

Tempted to stick both 270x's in the same machine then put my old 670 into my mining rig, new cudaminer should see well over 200, plus the ~900 my 270x's get between them...

Just off for a spot of BF3, see how it runs..
