Asus 2900XT problem

Wonder if anyone can help?
Just tried installing a new 2900XT and all I get is the fan wheezing away, cycling up to full and back down five or six times, and then up to full permanently with no signal. I think everything is connected ok, but is there anything I might be missing?
(Old card back in and everything works fine again).
I have to admit I was very disappointed to see the box had clearly been opened before I received it ...

Whats model PSU do you have? Oh yeah its in your sig, doh, spec looks fine to me, if you have everything hooked up correctly then i would put it down to a faulty card.

If 2x are not used you should get a power warning message on screen.

Ahhh.... that might be what's missing!
Didn't get a power warning though - now where did I put the modular cables?!

I have got through 2 2900XTs in as many days - im now the owner of a 8800GTS 640mb lol
It was a cracking card when it worked, which was briefly, but when you get 2 duff cards you think somethings up

Couple of BSODs, disk boot failure, reinstall WinXP - maybe it's working now!
