After reflashing the bios of my asus 3850x2 it gets to post shows ide drives etc but after that it says that my card does not have power cable plugged in...I also cant enter the bios settings at post.
I've a feeling the card is now shafted and have tried using a second pcie card in the "0" slot with the asus card in the "1" slot to try and reflash using atiflash in dos but using the atiflash -i command only shows that there is one card present so I am unable to reflash the 3850?

Other strange thing is that it reset the bios of my motherboard also to default settings.....not sure how it managed that.

I think the card may be still under warranty with asus and have taken it back to the shop for them to test it first and see if they can get any joy.

Any of you chaps have any ideas?

Would I have had more luck trying a pci graphics card and leaving the asus card in the pcie slot?

I'm at a loss...any help/: advice would be appreciated.
:(

On further investigation could be that my power supply is not giving enough juice something might have failed there...but it has been working fine for a year.....bloody computers...looks like I'm stuck with an x1800xt for the time being.

Clear the CMOS and see if that helps.

If not then i would be thinking of blind flashing the x2 back to the original BIOS, or getting hold of PCI card.

No didn't help....and can't blind flash it as the boot sequence stops after the initial post and gives me the message that the power is not plugged into the card?
When I tried it in another pc it gave no signal to the monitor and the card fans just kept spinning up and then slowing down in a loop....If I get no joy at the shop I may try blind flashing just to see if it helps.

Yeah flashed em both....but the card is not happy and is now on it's way to rma heaven :(

God speed little 3850x2....please come back a lovely 4870x2 :D
