What little hair I have is slowly being pulled out.....

Purchased 2 of these cards and have tried fitting one today. Cannot get the PC to boot or any thing whatsoever displayed on the monitor when installed. I have plugged in both 6 pin power plugs into the card and have 3 little white lights on the Graphics card PCB lit up. PC starts to boot then just stops?

Motherboard is Abit AW9D-Max
CPU e6600
Ram 4gig
PSU Hyper 570W true Power

Works fine with old x1950 installed.

Please help before I hurl this thing out the window....

Flashing the Bios got the gfx card working eventually. Only using one at the moment 'cos I know the PSU is not upto the job.

Can't get the machine to boot correctly with more than one drive connected either, comes up with "no system disk" error. So I think I am running out of power....... Also starts to shut down and reboot after a while so I am assuming as it heats up the PSU justs shuts it down??

After all this mucking about the original gfx card wasn't faulty it was my Dell monitor......!!!

Need more Power.....!!!!

Just an update which might help others.....

Added a second PSU to power all the drives and fans which cured the System errors. This will have to do until I can afford a big new PSU.

The rebooting was cured by upping the CPU core voltage by one step, the actual voltage must be slightly low being dragged down by the graphic card loading...!!??

Just have to now reinstall all my programs and hunt down all the passwords that I have lost.......
