Hi, I recently brought an asus 4890 from OCUK and when I put it in my new com and turned it on the screen says no signal.

I tried another card (4670) and it came on ok first time.

On the back of the card by the power connectors the 1,3 and 4 red leds flash on and off once (1 being furthest from the motherboard) I take it this means something.

Also the fan on the 4890 comes on ok.

I have an MSI 790FX-GD70 motherboard

Thanks.

What PSU are you running ? Dependant on this, it may be necessary to ensure that the 2 PCI-e cables are running of distinct rails ?

Might want to check that the (2 x PCI-e) connectors are properly seated in the card - I once found that unplugging and swapping them over helped a glitch

I have it plugged in to an older crt mointor at the moment, if I push a button on the keyboard after I have just turned it on, the screen comes up with a blank white screen and just stays like that.

had 2 dead 4890's put just one 6 pin in does it come up with power connection not correct then put in second 8pin and you got nothing. Ended up having to send them back.
