Well im completely undecided and looking advice

the game im playing the most these days is Guildwars 2 and with the up and coming expansion HoT it will continue to be my main game

Im considering the following

Asus MG279Q ROG Dominator 27" FREESYNC IPS 144Hz Gaming Widescreen LED Slim Bezel Monitor - Black

OR

Asus PB287Q 28" 4K 60Hz 1MS Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black

I will be upgrading from the following monitor

Asus VG248QE 24" Widescreen 144Hz 1ms Gaming LED Monitor - Black

I've used the PB287Q before and returned it because i hated the TN panel, if you don't mind the color shift and the grainy anti glare then it isn't that bad. I'd be all over the Asus MG279Q though as I love the IPS and it would be better than what I have stuck with since the Asus 4k. With your GPU setup you will be able to run it @144hz for awhile and no need to worry about the VRAM limits quite so much.

I have a MG279Q and can't say I'm particularly happy with it. But it'd take it over the other two any day because TN just plain isn't good. With the PB287Q you'd also struggle to get playable frame rates in any game that doesn't support Crossfire.

If your main game is Guild wars 2, why not consider one of the super wide displays? Or maybe they are above your budget?

Another monitor to consider around the same price as the Asus and is getting great reviews is the BenQ XL2730Z. It is a 144hz freesync 1440p monitor. Great picture quality sine they were updated.

I am considering the AOC as well. Nice monitor, gets great reviews. It's the freesync/gsync models that are holding me back.
