The ASUS PQ321Q True 4K UHD monitor is built with an anti-glare Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) panel rather than traditional amorphous silicon. The IGZO panel supports much smaller transistors than amorphous silicon, which allows for much smaller pixels and much better detail. Couple with an ultra-wide 176-degree viewing angles on both vertical and horizontal planes, get a pristine image from virtually any angle. What’s more, the IGZO panel supports increased pixel transparency and reduced current leakage for increased energy savings.

Built-in 2W stereo speakers simplify free space from needing separate speakers for a complete audio visual experience. Picture-by-picture (PBP) mode splits the screen down the middle to display content from two separate sources side-by-side to view images from different signals and easily switch between the main and PBP source, including audio. Not really - your viewing distance for a monitor is likely to be a couple of feet whereas a TV will be 8-10 feet.

Having said that a 4K 50" TV is available stateside for under a grand ... I don't doubt this is a great panel but it is hell of expensive.

Asus is the first, so no competitors, this could merely be the price for being first to market.

But saying that remember monitors always cost more than TV's, for example 30" DELL at £1000. The flagship monitors have always cost big money, though I am sure once more 4k2 monitors arrive the pricing will go below £2000 for sure, but that could be 3, 6 or even 12 months. We'll have to wait and see. :)

Fact is Asus ones land end of next month hopefully. :D
