ASUS 5870

I have just received the new version but didnt order from ocuk.

It comes with a better cooler and an hdmi to dvi adapter.

Just need the working day to be over so I can go home and play around with it.

awesome was worried about there not being to dvi connectors because i use 2 monitors but if there is a hdmi to dvi connector with it i am liking the sound of it a lot more

Fantastic card mate. Blows away everything I have thrown at it but a word of warning it does run hot.

Tempted by a water cooling loop just for the card to keep temps down.

Does anyone else have one of these ? What speed and voltage have you got this stable at ?

I got this card recently and I am loving it. Currently running at 970/1250 at stock volts. Im finding it runs quite cool actually, compared to my 8800GTX's. Idles at 33c and peaks at 75c with the fan speed peaking at a very conservative 32%.

Only thing that is annoying me is CCC's force VSync function fails, as on some loading and menu screens the card starts rendering at 4000fps, makes an annoying screaming sound and pushes temps to 80c.

I have the one with the stock cooler, gets up to 78c with a max fan speed of 31% playing BF2 (about 23c ambient). That's at stock voltage, 909 core, 1243 mem.

Imo you should always use D3Doverider, that comes with rivatuner, regardless if its Nvidia or an ATI card.

I used to have so many problems with mouse lag, tearing etc, now its gone.

Your also able to use triple buffering in D3D games.
