I have a weird problem with ASUS 69X0 DirectCU cards. I have had 2, one 6950 DirectCU and one 6970

DirectCU. Both exhibit flashing pixels of one color both at graphical BIOS and Win7. With 6950 pixels

were green and with 6970 red.

This only happens when using high resolution monitor (2560x1600) on Dual-link DVI port with switch on board turned on. No problems with single link 1600x1200 monitor at all.

Shop also confirmed 6950 was faulty, but now a replacement 6970 is showing same problem, but with red

pixels this time.

My 2560 monitor should be ok as it works perfectly on my second computer.

Is this is design bug, something to do with Dual-link DVI and DisplayPort switch?

Rest of the system:
Asus P8P67
Core I5-2500K

525W Enermax Modu82+

System was stable even with Furmark and 3Dmark Vantage. Also the dealer confirmed the first card to be faulty...

Returned 6970 DirectCU also and replaced with Nvidia 570 DirectCU.

No more pixel artifacts or any abnormalities.

Seems heavily like there's a bandwidth or EMC problem with 69X0 DirectCU assosiated with that Dual link DVI / DiplayPort switch.
