Hi,

I've spent the day building a new PC on a Asus Z790-P motherboard. Amazingly it all booted up the first time. The problem I have is it doesn't detect any Wifi on the board and when I plug in an Ethernet cable it doesn't detect the network either.

I've done some troubleshooting on the Asus website and ensured connectivity mode is enabled in the BIOS. I've tried updating the BIOS but I get a message saying "Selected file is not a proper BIOS!"

Any ideas?

Which version of Windows are you using? I assume you tried the drivers already? You could try getting your drivers from the manufacturer website instead, e.g. the Realtek website.

Thanks all, I've sorted the Wifi by installing new drivers. It wasn't working on Ethernet as I'm a numpty and the cable wasn't connected to the router.

It's a totally new build. I built one in 2015 based on some recommendations in here and it's been an awesome PC so I decided to do the same again. The spec is below. I'm just configuring it before tidying up the cables. The only problem so far is that the AIO cooler doesn't fit in the case using the pre-drilled holes but I think I can get around that. And the second issue I've not looked at yet is the second M.2 SSD is not recognized in windows

*Sorted the second M.2 SSD now too* Just needed to setup in disk management

My basket at ocuk:
