This card or monitor has developed a fault that ONLY occurs on the Display Port. The monitor flashes on and off? I have switched to HDMI and the display is fine. The card has 2 display ports, but both have the same problem. I have tried the second DP on the Dell Monitor, but same problem? Not sure if it is a fault with the card or monitor? I do not have another monitor with a DP to try. Maybe I should buy another DP cable, as it may be faulty? The card is only about 14-16 months old, and I think it is still under the Asus warranty. This is the first time this problem has occurred.
 
i would definitely try another display port cable. Sounds like its the cable at fault if it is flashing using both ports on the gpu. Plus it is the easiest thing to rule out first
 
Thanks for reply. I bought another DP cable and 'hey-presto' it now works fine. The faulty DP cable came with the Asus card, and does look a bit cheapish, thin cable. You would think the price I paid for the card, it would come with a better quality DP cable!
