Hi,

just put my new machine all together :) come to connect the power connector onto the motherboard and it's four connectors short  it's been a while since I built a pc :( whats going on? have searched the OCuk site for a "EATXPWR" which is what the connector is called in the asus manual but it turns up nothing also searched on the forum as well and got nothing :( any help or suggestions would be much appreciated as i was looking forward to getting my new machine running tonight :) can i use the current connector? if so do i leave 4pins exposed at the top or bottom?

cheers
Deano

Read your manual you need a 24 pin atx PSU with adtional 4 pin conncetor

seems you have a 20 pin with 4 pin so you need to buy an addtional adapter
if you looked before buying you would have known that
all socket 939 and p4 775 need an atx 2.2 power supply.

Hi

ok cheers, i'll read up more next time :) any recomendations for these types of power supplies?

Cheers

what psu have you got? you can sometimes get away with using the 20 pin to 24 pin conncetor if you have enough amps on the psu rail
