went into the bios to change a few things to overclock but what would i set this one to as it doesnt mention anything about it in the book.took everything of auto but thid just left on auto for now
pci clock sync mode
auto
cpu
33.33mhz

thanks for any advice

was reading this in the overclocking guide

Firstly, you need to set AGP & PCI locks to on or AGP=66mhz and PCI=33mhz before doing the following. (Refer to the manual - usually there's a setting of 6/6)

seem as it is 33.33mhz would i set it to that then.please help

well i had a go with it at the 33.33 put the fsb upto 220 dropped the htt to x4 and left the ram on 1/1 saved everything came out checked with cpu-z and everest and both said it was stil at 2.4 so went back in and in the bios it was at 2.65 any ideas please

well ive been doing a bit off reading about.and the overclocking on this board only comes into play if the programme you are running needs that little bit of extra power even if you have it set to manual overclock, which i think is stupid does all asus boards do this or am i missing something thanks

Really? Oh man thats absolute crap. There must be a way around this, i was having a simular problem.

Have you tried updating bios at all?

I had one of these before i killed it m8, im pritty sure thats only the case if u have the AI bios porgam installed (think thats what it was called, its on the disc. ) Have a look though the settings on it. certainly I used this board to overclock a venice and an opteron with no problems, cpu-z reported the correct speeds all the time.

also nice to see someone else from county durham on here :) was starting to think i was the only person with a computer
