Hi there ive been looking at upgrading my motherboard and was thinking about this asus a8n- sli premium nforce4 with an amd 64x2 4400, not upgradede for a while and was wondering if this was a ggod option, also what power supply would be recommended for this combination with 2 6800 gs graphic cards, thanks in advance for any replies

Probably just as well going for a single 7800gtx instead of the 2 6800GS in SLI.

Mobo is fine. You will need to see the manufacturer of the card and check power needs.

500W (of a decent make - like Antec) would be a minimum. If you are going for SLI and decent cards, 550W+ would better.

Excellent motherboard I'm really pleased with mine, don't think you need to go as high as 500w for a single card but if you going to buy a new one make sure to take into account future upgrades thing my 450w may have to go in the bin if I go SLi. If you don't already have a 6800GS don't buy two of them get a 7800GTX instead.

I'm looking to get this mobo as well, all the reviews Ive read say its decent :) , plus it looks soooo sexy. Apparently it beats the more expensive deluxe version in performance in nearly all benchmarks despite the deluxe being better on paper.
