The mobo needs a 24pin connector i think, an adaptor only costs a few pound.
I'd recommend getting one of the 7900GTs on offer this week and overclock it.
I'd also get a chipset cooler as many ppl find the stock chipset cooler 'whiny'. Although mine was pretty much drowned out by my vf900 , i changed it anyway.

thanks for the reply , i might just buy some adaptor's for now and get a new psu when i can afford it .

thanks mick .

I have an A8N SLi Premium with the old 20 pin Enermax 550 watt PSU that I bought about 3 or 4 years ago. It works perfectly, even loaded with all the hardware in my sig, so it does not require a 24 pin adapter unless the SE is different - which I very much doubt.

You probably have the same psu as me then , so you have 4 pins that are not being used then ?

That's right, 4 pins of my motherboard's ATX connector aren't connected to anything :)

How well does it overclock ?? i heard it was pretty good but not as good as the dfi boards . what the max htt you can run at ??

I've got mine at 285x9.5 at the moment to give a little over 2.7GHz - been a while since I played with it but I'm fairly certain it would go higher :)

I will be using my crappy newcastle core 3500 until i can afford a new cpu i need a pci express gfx card and was looking at the x1800xt on ocuk 170 notes cant really spend anymore .
