I desparately need an I/O plate for the above board. Can anyone help me out - happy to pay

You mean the S-Video backplate? Or the motherboard backplate?

The motherboard one, that surrounds all the ports.

contact asus since you only get 1 with each motherboard

There is no Asus mobo support in the UK, I have tried already. The Netherlands is the only euro support, and they cannot supply them. Asus North America can supply them, but cant ship to the UK. I cant win.

Odd, i renember a few month's ago i've requested for 15 i/o shields for my asus p4c800 deluxe, and after one week they arrived.
But then: I live in the Netherlands, that might have been a factor.
I suggest you try again, make sure you get a different person on the line, and ask again kindly, unless they just dont have them.
You can always kindly ask the US people to send again, or ask someone in the us, to get it from asus, and then after send to the uk.

Sounds like you could set up a nice wee sideline in sell Asus back plates. :cool:
