I recently replaced the PSU in my PC, only to apparently eff up my motherboard somehow. I get the "System failed VGA test" audio warning through the speakers and no video. It also appears to halt the boot-up.
I've tried going back to the old PSU, cleaning and re-seating the graphics card, checking all the power connectors (the fan on the card is spinning), removing the card completely, and trying a different graphics card. I still get the same error message.
The mobo seems like the most likely candidate, but is there anything I haven't thought of before I start searching for a new one? Cheers.
Asus A8V, GeForce 6600gt, Enermax 535w.
