My old 939 Mobo died and ive moved to C2D but ive still got a 3700SD and a 7800gtx so if i can get hold of a cheap 939 mobo i can upgrade my lads barton/9800pro system. Ive found this mobo new for £30. anybody got any experiances with it or recomendations for a different model. I would prefere to stay with Asus if possible.

Never heard of that board so Id say its not that popular, same with a VIA 939 chipset. It could be that its a stable board at default if thats all you want, but I wouldnt expect any overclocking prowess.
Id say consider each board in its own right, and then factor in manufacturer's reputation, its a mistake to only consider buying from one manufacturer, especially when looking for a brand new 939 board at this point in time...

Ive had a fair few Asus mobo's and ive always found them to be reliable, im buying this cos its cheap, ive already got a 7800gtx and a 3700sd so it will be a major step up from his current [email protected] and 9800pro for £30.megatron said:

Ill be upgrading from my nforce4 epox 9npaj sli in the coming weeks (already got a bargin on crucial 6400 ballistix), and that board has been flawless. Overclocked to 3Ghz my opteron back to 2.7Ghz after a hot spell; 300fsb. I never tried too much with the memory clock, it was supposed to be good for 250fsb but I left it at 200Mhz in the end.

Just wondering what do you think of this mobo,any good?My pc went kuput after my Hiper PSU went and I believe it has taken the mobo with it so getting one of these,not going to overclock or anything.I read in reviews that the audio isn't very good?
