Hi,
I've been having some connectivity problems with this router so I'm trying to update the firmware. I've downloaded the latest version, logged in to the router and selected the file. When i click on the Upload button i just get a message that says Signature Version and an OK button.
I've watched a few video tutorials and the new file should just upload. Is there something i'm doing wrong?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Tommo

All the files I have ever upgraded with are .trx format. I use the WRT-Merlin firmware which seems to work brilliantly on this router!

That's what i was trying to update to. It just wont recognise the .trx format.
The files from Asus are in a .w format and upload fine.
Do you have the DSL AC88U or RT AC88U?

this is probably a silly question, but you did extract the file from the zip archive before trying to update?

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/wireless/RT-AC88U/FW_RT_AC88U_300438420379.ZIP

then extract with winrar/7-zip or whatever archive program you use.

this file:
RT-AC88U_3.0.0.4_384_20379-gc0714df.trx

if you already did this ignore...
