What do you think chaps? Imagine the transformer with a slot for your phone... (hopefully you can chuck the tablet dock in the current laptop dock for some double docking action!)

I'm guessing it's packing Tegra 2, 1GB and possibly running Honeycomb 3.1 (with the low pixel density Gingerbread UI for the phone and full Honeycomb UI when docked to the tablet, see vid)

Obviously it can't match the SGS2 (unless they surprise everyone with Tegra 3) but it signals Asus entering the phone arena.

Ice cream won't be available until Christmas but I think they could just drop Tegra 3 into a 'Honeycomb spec' tablet without much hassle, that could mean a summer release? (Unless it's one of those rubbish, you can't buy it until next year "Launches" :D)
Let's hope it's not 2.3 and a rushed custom tablet UI either.

We've got a potential name too... Padfone *cringe* :D

Here's the concept for those lacking in imagination. Asus did a really good job with the Transformer, so this could be brilliant.

Saw some of the teaser images and the parts of the pad they showed were pretty sweet.

Might be interested in this, no need to keep everything synced then.

I'd like samsung to do this tbh. A tablet house for my SG2 to go into would be pretty sweet, with HDMi out

Makes sense, you don't or at least I don't use both at the same time, so why pay for two of everything, when all you really need is a screen and battery.
