In bed.
I currently own a single Asus swift brand new from OCUK. I am wanting two more I just notice they have 2 in stock B grade. Been a little new to OCUK only shopping here for like a year now. I am wondering whats the difference between Bgrade and new? I mean would OCUK sell a screen with problems? Or is it just someone has ripped opened the box and not liked the screen?

Thanks for your time guys!

Either or. It's a lottery. I've had 3 now and only one was a return but for the life of me I can't see why. It's perfect.

My theory is if it's broken just send it back.

It really is a lottery, quite often they have dead pixels, scratches or imperfections and then other times they are perfectly fine.

Personally I wouldnt touch a monitor b grade as the reason someone sent it back could be quite often one of the above.

I've recently bought my first b grade item , a 40" Philips monitor and only defects I have are 1 dead pixel at the top of the screen and a small strip between the panel and the bezel where there is a gap, presumably not enough glue(?) No idea how they are put together but its a micro crack less than a mm.

Works perfectly and was still wrapped up in its packaging, well worth the £100~ saving for me.

But as mentioned above, its a lottery. They are guaranteed to work, but no telling on how much cosmetic damage there will be, if any. As for dead pixels, it varies between manufacturers but very few will accept it as damaged with just a couple pixels missing. Some even require them to be grouped in order for a returns.

Weigh up the saving and see if its worth the risk - you still get a warranty with ocuk.

Quick question could they not send it back to Asus if I was to buy them from OCUK? Think I will get my last two new dead pixels drive me insane!

Not a monitor but a gfx card b-grade blew just inside the 90 day warranty. Had a wait a few days shy of an entire month for a replacement, had dust on the fan (been used), for £40 more I could have had a couple years warranty remaining instead of none.

Why did it blow? Bit mining? Benching? Just unlucky? Who knows. There is zero history with them so you have zero information to go on.

Would I have another b-grade? I'd have to think long and hard about it. But probably not.

90 days with ocuk you still get the full 3 years with manufacturer so nothing lost there
